What Music Are You Currently Listening To?

So I just discovered Babymetal. And...uh...just watch. And listen. And be amazed.

^Found out about Babymetal almost a month ago now, I love how they combine... all of the stuff they combine. In other words how it's really adorable, but still nothing for the faint-hearted to listen to. If you are one of those people by the way you may not want to listen to what I'm going to post here =P But if not you won't regret reading through this ridiculously long post (as they usually are with me...)
Since I opened the post with them I'll make a comparison here: they're somewhat, but not overly similar to Babymetal. (not least because their lead singer is actually a 4256 year old Fairy. Still no wrinkles though! totally didn't steal this quote from Nowi)




This is Yousei Teikoku (妖精帝國 - lit. "Fairy Empire"). They're so awesome. And Yui-sama is so cute. Hell, I've got these guys on FETO and Yui is even worthy of an avatar in my copy of FE Awakening - that's how obsessed I am about them. That aside, I enjoy the different styles they've had throughout the years, starting with Gothic Electro in their early years (Peach albums - Stigma), Techno Rock (Gothic Lolita Propaganda), Gothic Rock (Metanoia - Gothic Lolita Agitator) to their current characteristic ridiculously heavy, awesome and still cute sound (Pax Vesania - now) which has to be my absolute favorite as of now. They're also bringing out Shadow Corps in 2 months. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO WAIT?!?!!?!
They're also one of the few bands where I'd actually want to go to concerts. For one thing because there's always a part where the drummer pulls insane solos, but also to chant the Patriot Anthem.




It's so immersive I even shout it when I'm in my room. I only think it's a bit of a shame they don't sound as good live, but that's where they can display their full awesomeness so it's still absolutely worth going to imo. Another reason for me to go to Japan at some point in my life. Unless they do an Europe tour... they should definitely do an Europe tour. >_<
