I stopped right here. This is where the parent is supposed to get involved to make sure the child understands that it's a game and not representative of society, if she is so afraid of the educational power of the game. Seriously: my parents never talked to me about "fighting games are bad" or any of that, but I understood perfectly that society doesn't work that way, when I was young and playing the Super Nintendo.
People were afraid of the same thing about television and movies, but parents today have no problem showing their kids R-rated films.
