Bio/Backstory: Klara Winter was born in her family's merchant wagon in the country of Etruria. Growing up she had learned the ways of her family as they travelled the world selling goods. Her family sold from simple food and water all the way to army provisions to aid those who fight whether they were for a so called brand of justice or to conquer other nations. She was taught the way of the merchant is to never discriminate and always accept any potential customer.
By the time Klara was eight years old her family had decided to travel to Ilia. The travel through the harsh country was even more difficult than they originally thought and lost many of their supplies during their travels. It became so severe that they knew they would have to end up retiring from their merchant life for some time. They then soon after several days found themselves at a small village in Ilia and found housing for them to stay. Her parents went out and got jobs to help support the family and Klara finally got to experience what it would be like to be a kid and enjoy her childhood.
Three days after they were settled in she was later introduced to the mayor's son, Gunoy Autumn. Klara did not know what to think about him since he was trying very hard not to make eye contact with anyone. She went over to shake his hand and he stepped away saying "Don't touch me". She had no idea what was wrong with him, but was determined to be his friend no matter what, and after pestering him long enough he finally accepted her as a friend. She told him all the stories of all the places she's travelled in her years even though she did not remember the exact name of where all she went while they were practicing archery in private.
Three years had passed and several days before her 12th birthday, Klara and her family had decided it was time to return to their old lives with the Ilia weather being in its less harsh season. The night before they left she gave Gunoy a silver locket with her picture so he would never forget her. To her great surprise and joy he gave her a gold locket with a picture of him in it for the same reason. She cried thanking him over and over and hugged him tightly. Though the boy still had a problem being touched, he seemed not to mind so much as long as it was her. Everyone said their goodbyes and Klara's family then left the country of Ilia to continue their lives as travelling merchants.
Klara's life was both enjoyable and lonely despite always being with her parents. She had missed being in Ilia and all the friends she made and played with. She had wished there was something different to do with her life slowly started to not like the life of a merchant. Then on one dark night without a star in sight while she was asleep in her family's wagon they were attacked by road bandits. Klara woke up due to a smell of smoke in the air and bright lights glowing over her. When she opened her eyes she noticed the wagon's cloth was on fire and panicked. She remembered well how to handle these types of flames and quickly put them out from inside the wagon. She then called out to her parents while peeking her head out through the front of the wagon and she saw them.
Klara saw the bandits standing over two bloody bodies and after focusing her eyesight she realized it was her parents. She knew she was in danger in that instant as her screaming alerted them to her presence and they were now slowly making their way towards her. Klara knew she was outnumbered, but felt like she still had to try. She went under the mattress in the wagon and pulled out a small bow and a small amount of arrows, but by the time she was ready the bandits had already made their way to her wagon. She felt like it was all over in that instant thinking there was nothing she could do now, but to her surprise as well as the bandits a group of mercenaries were nearby camping and heard the commotion. The bandits knew fully well who they were, a group who were constantly hired to take care of scum like them and their group specifically saying saving a little girl and killing them for their jobs was like two birds one stone. One of the mercenaries, a female archer came to Klara to take her to safety and protect her as the other fought the bandits off.
After it was all over Klara had told them the bandits had killed her parents while she was asleep and almost burned her alive in their wagon. They asked her if she had a place to return to, a palce she could call home and she said she was born in Etruria, and lived in Ilia for three years, but aside from that she was always travelling the world making it now obvious she has no home. The female archer felt an attachment to Klara despite just meeting her and had decided to take her into her home. On now Klara's wagon they travelled to the archer's home that was in coincidentally Etruria.
Years later as she turned ninteen she had better skill with her archery and now wears her present outfit. It was also around this age that Klara decided of her own free will to once again continue what her parents had done for years which was being a travelling merchant and on a side job be a mercenary as well to further her skills and earn extra money. Two years later while she was twenty-one years old she had decided she needed an official place to call home and bought a house in Etruria, the country she was born as well as reborn from her old self. While going through things moving into her new home she came across a gold locket. She wandered why there was a locket mixed in with her things and soon afterward found a key that worked with it. She saw the picture and then soon realized that she still had one very good friend in the world. Klara then made up her mind and would immediately set out for Ilia after she was done moving in and getting necessary essentials for the home.
Several weeks had passed since she left Etruria and she finally found the village she stayed in for three years in Ilia. She wandered around town asking if any of the villagers saw her friend, but much older looking. The vast majority of people had no idea who she was talking about, until she met the priest of the village's chapel who remembered her quite well. They went to his home and he had explained to her just what had happened soon after her family left claiming they picked a great time to leave. The village was attacked, her friend taken hostage for years, his parents killed like hers, and even went as far as to place a curse onto him. Ontop of it all after he learned of the truth of all that happened he robbed the houses and disappeared from the country to gods know where.
During her travels searching for her friend, Gunoy Autumn she had began hearing rumors of someone called the Ghost of Elibe. After hearing so much about it she began questioning people of the rumor like what does this ghost look like and such. To her surprise it was matching up to what she would think was her friend.
Klara then decided to go to the town of Badon to restock on supplies as well as ask people there if they have any information on the ghost. During her time in Badon she nearly ran down a man wearing a dark green cloak and frantically moved to the side to avoid hitting him. She ran over to him and immediately began apologizing asking if he was okay, but as soon as she was about to land a hand on him his head twitched and he knocked her hand away screaming "Don't touch me!". The man then apologized for his rash reaction claiming he has a problem with people touching him and his great lack of faith and trust in others. With apologies aside she questioned him about the Ghost of Elibe and with most answers he gave she commented that those are what are said about the ghost.
After talking with him he begun to walk away slowly as she put all the information she gather so far together trying to figure out how all of this could help her find her friend. Several minutes after mulling it all over there was one thing that clicked in her head she remembered quite well and she remembered what the man in the green cloak said when they first met. They were the exact same words he told her when they first met, "Don't touch me". She then realized that man had to be the one she was seeking this whole time and they were talking like they complete strangers to each other.
It was late around time she found out and was considering staying in Badon for a night, but also remembered another part of the rumor she heard about the ghost, that the ghost only shows up in a town for one day and disappears overnight. She snapped out of the bed she was laying on, grabbed her locket and immediately ran for Badon's exit. As she was closing in on the town's exit she noticed the man in the cloak leaving with a huge bag over his shoulder. She screamed for him to wait, but was being ignored, then out of desperation and hope, tears left her eyes and she screamed a name, "Gunooooy! Please wait!" and at that instant the man stopped and turned his head asking how does she know that name. She then stopped and her eyes widened letting out even more tears knowing she finally found her long lost friend, Gunoy Autumn. The man took a long look at her and noticed a gold locket was in her hands while she was crying. He then called out her very name and dropped his things to the ground in shock. Now with tears of joy she ran towards him faster than she originally was. She told him she went to visit his home in Ilia and heard about all that he had gone through since she left. During their talk she noticed he has become even colder than even when they first met years ago. He claimed his heart was now a barren wasteland, he has lost the ability to put faith and trust in anyone and claimed to throw most of his past away. She had then noticed that he was still wearing the locket she gave him long ago and claimed that he didn't throw it ALL away. He merely brushed off that comment saying it was the only thing that gave him peace of mind. She then tried and tried to get him to let her help him with all of his hurting and emotional scarring and though it took quite some time he gave in out of frustration saying she still talks far too much.
As the years went by her methods were proving quite effective to him. His personality had been slowly improving over all this time and he grew far more confident as well. To her surprise on her 23rd birthday he had proposed to her. She said meeting you again was the happiest day of her life, and now this day will beat all others and with happy tears she gave him an astounding yes as many times as she could tell it and hugged him tightly.
Present time, Gunoy and Klara Autumn were travelling the world doing what Klara herself had decided to do before being reunited with her best friend and now husband: be merchants as well as mercenaries. They had agreed that at times one of them fights while the other watches the wagon. And this is how Klara lives out her life today.
