For what my opinion is worth, the best way to get this started is for one person (or two, maaaaaybe 3, but one is easiest) to come up with a barebones setting and system of play, then have everyone else fill in the gaps while you RP. The best way to keep interest is to actually RP, and in the creation of something like this, many hands make way more work unless you've got a dictator telling everyone what to do and when to do it.

As awesome as collaboration is, you can't please everybody, so don't. Let them please themselves by providing a skeleton for them to add meat to.

I'll point to Skylessia (the first one, not the clusterfuck that happened after) as an example: there was very little in the way of defined rules and settings. A lot of the weapons, classes, and place descriptions were filled in over a period of years while things played out.

Whatever you guys do, -do- something. Don't talk about doing things. If this were three years ago, I'd be knee deep in the creation of this thing and would have it finished in two weeks to a month. But it's not and priorities change so I can't make anyone do anything. It just breaks my heart watching this happen all over again.

Here is the Awakening map. We can flip a coin over either the Ylisse or Valmese continent. We can just say that the chosen continent had some sort of upheaval that turned the existing nations into scattered city states. For the hell of it, we can say this is Lucia's future timeline where the world was fucked up by Grima but Lucia managed to put it back to sleep.

I don't know, just throwing something out there and hoping that it leads to progress of some sort.

Agreed with spam, if many people are already joining, the point is to get start. We may need to decide on the class/weapon/etc setting a bit though.

Weapons are all unique, so I propose that there be no specific weapon list. Nor something like a weapon system. Besides, we already did those. Levels were out the last time we talked regarding this, and I propose they stay out. An FE RPG like Sky or RL can be developed later.

As far as classes go, I dunno, I think I might be leaning towards FF classes now. Or something like this.

I think I like the Valmese continent, but after Awakening, and probably after an unspecified upheaval reduced civilization to scattered city-states. We can argue about that later. Let's get it up and go!

I've been a long time viewer, small-time player in a few FEP RPs (Tavrica native). I'll keep in eye on what you guys build. Might even squeeze in a character.

I know it's been a while since this was posted in, but I was talking with some other friends and somehow a FE-based RP setting came up. Looking back on the other posts I can see the Awakening love here too, so maybe this would work, idk.

But my idea was about an RP world based in the alternative universe where Lucina and all the kids are originally from. Basically, the impending threat of Grima is much more severe, or heck, you could even jump to after Grima destroyed most of Ylisse and people are struggling to survive. That way you could do the same world in Awakening without messing up the timeline, plus Chrom or whoever wouldn't be around either, just legends.

I actually had an idea for an RP about some bandit attempting to rewrite history by spreading false stories regarding FE7 boss character Glass (The gods fear my name!). He also tries to burn down a village library to erase the truth. PCs work to stop him.

Oh yesssss, I return after not logging in for a day and find that the place is brimming with RP posts. I'm definitely interested/making a character in the next few days.
