I'm in New Jersey, so I see a lot of splits towards teams. Jets or Giants, Yankees or Mets, Rangers or Devils, Nets or Knicks. Okay, not the last one so much, but only one of the teams listed actually belongs to New Jersey, despite both the Jets and Giants calling my town home.

While we're on the topic of sports, I feel the need to point out that I'm the only one in my house who follows them at all. Story time!

One girl I live with hates them passionately and was bitching on FB about a sports question she was asked on Trivia Crack. Now I, being the discordant that I am, decided to answer her emotional hatred of sports with "Art questions are stupid."

She got whipped into a frenzy on FB and got all of the support in the world from her art-loving friends (none of whom have ever amounted to anything), and I just sat back and watched the world burn.

WS is cool only in the abstract. In practice, things don't go as planned.

Also, as a salty Yankees fan, I've turned to hockey this year as every other NY team blew this season. The Nicks are literally having their worst season in franchise history, meanwhile the Islanders and Rangers are practically tied for 1st place, with 3rd place quite a bit behind.

It really won't bother me much, I haven't gotten into hockey enough yet to be attached to either team. Give it another season or two and I'll probably be more into it.

I don't like sports but I'm Canadian so all I hear about is hockey. I've had immigrants in my classes look at me like I'm nuts and say, "How can you not like hockey? YOU'RE CANADIAN! GO LEEAFFFSSS!!!" Rofl

My friends all think I'm Canadian simply because I like hockey.

I thought they were just being jerks. But now people at work are making the same generalization. So now EVERYONE is a jerk!

Nah fred, I was joking about how tumblrtards get hyper offended about a ton of things. For example, someone could have a mexican friend, and joke around about tacos and burritos, and tumblrtards will get in a hissy about it even if they aren't mexican themselves.
