Does it have the same battle system of The 4 Warriors of Life? I wasn't really a fan of it, and Jesus Christ did it get hard. I like a hard game, but the battle system made grinding un-enjoyable

From the gameplay of FF 4 WoL I can conclude that the battle systems are vastly different.
Bravely Default's battle system is a bit of a mix of FF3 along with a new mechanic that allows you (and the enemy) to perform actions...
I can't really find any video that gives me a good idea of the combat system. It seems to be in a similar vein, but is pretty different. Eh I'll probably pick it up because I'm looking for a new 3DS game now that I've pretty much finished my living Pokedex. Ah, I forgot I do still have Mario and Luigi Dream Team to beat, but I don't have too much more to do in that
This is one of my best 3DS games, and I have most of the hard hitting titles: (FE13, PkmnX, Loz:ALbW...and Theatrhythm FF)
@Jack, if you haven't decided yet lol
Well, I'm sold. My mom offered to buy me a game instead of sending me chocolate for Easter because I started a low carb diet, and I think I'll have to take her up on this
Finally got the game on Monday and damn I got hooked immediately. I haven't turned my 3DS off since I started playing so I can start rebuilding the damn town (lack of spotpass means it's going stupidly slow :/). I'm not far enough in to start really experimenting with builds yet (just got to chapter 2 this morning) but I just got the Spell Fencer and that's a cool class. I'm pretty over leveled because I cranked the encounter rate up to get more JP, so I think I might have to turn it down for a bit. Or maybe switch to a higher difficulty, because at my current over leveled state (27) the game is cake.
sets up Drain sword, then Life or Death to Double Rage + one move of my choice
Agnes:
White/Time Mage
Holy One , Group Cast-All
Healz + reraise/haste/slow
Edea:
Performer/Freelancer
Hasten/Slow World, (your choice 3 AP left)
Brave Suit Equipped
Sing My Hero then Mimic three times, rinse repeat, your party should never run out of brave points.
I have an alt/Magical version of this setup using two Conjurers with Summon magic (they replace the Dark Kns)
Conjurer/Summoner
Steady MP Recover, Prolong Support, Summoning Surge
just spam summons and specials, you don't really need to boost your magic since the each summon will be stronger than the prev.
Honestly, it's not even that big of a bonus lol, just a bunch of extra (early buyable wpns and items). Though in their defense they added about 10+ dmg , and I got the 20 villagers from the demo (via the glitch) which drastically sped up my norende rebuilding~
