Renata's hesitation was plain. Ever since she'd exchanged what was left of her old and battered inquisitor armour for more practical gear, she'd committed herself to a life of rebellion. Raiding convoys had become a routine after the first few, and she'd finally grown to appreciate life on the road. Her swordsmanship had never been better, to boot.
"I don't know." The whisper was swallowed by the wind, but her face said everything. She looked to the prison in the distance, as if to search for something Tiras had missed. Impossible. Tiras knew things like this far better than she did. This was no convoy; it was a fortress. The moment the rebel band set upon it, everything would change, for better or worse.
But Renata knew that they couldn't go on the way they were. Even if the whole band were to flee far away, they were all convicts and criminals in one way or another. They had to fight.
She looked back to Tiras to give him a resolute nod. "Ready as I'll ever be." She spoke a little louder this time.
