As Paige made her way into the inn, she was approached by Eli, attempting to get her back on track.

"Right. If there is truly a battle with Bern, we won't be able to go too far without running into either force or reinforcements from the west. We still need to find Yuri, so I say we stay in town until everything settles down."

Paige was trying to sound cordial, but Satsume put her on edge. She was also getting sloppy: she had completely forgotten that there was a keeper upstairs. She continued to her room (supposedly with Eli in tow), where she began gathering her swords, notes, and other belongings.
