Ellie found her footing and prepared another arrow as Shad found himself on the receiving end of multiple bolts. Then, in what seemed like seconds, he let the crossbowmen feel his wrath with the monk's aid. Page joined the fray soon after and brandished a rapier, attempting to keep the lancers at bay. A valiant move, but not ideal; one rapier won't beat two spears - she had little choice.
"Stand back!
Ellie knocked her arrow and drew hard, aiming to cripple one of the lancers before he could notice her attention pointed to him. As she let the arrow fly, it found its mark, burrowing itself into the side of one man's knee just shy of the plate greaves. Ellie drew yet again another arrow and aimed it towards the second lancer.
The lancer's eyes met Ellie's in that moment, and he darted towards Paige in an effort to avoid the incoming shot. Afraid to miss her shot, Ellie aimed low and fired in an attempt to at least trip him up in his attack - an effort that yielded little result. As the arrow splintered against the Earth, the man stepped wide of the projectile and pulled back his spear, preparing to plunge it through the red headed fencer.
