Ellie listened intently to the one sided dialogue before her; the red haired young lady seemed in a panic, searching for some way to communicate with the silent monk. Thinking quietly, she had a sudden idea; they may have disarmed her, but she wasn't without her pauldron and quiver! With haste she stood, unfastening her quiver from her shoulder strap and unbuckling her pauldron, which slumped down over her bicep. She began working the strappings out of one of the clasps, and smiled wide as the buckle fell to her feet with a hushed clink.
"I don't mean to interrupt ma'am, but I think this might help!" Ellie whispered, tossing the clasp towards the adjacent cell. The clasp clattered against one of the bars and fell just short, but close enough for her liking.
I hope the soldiers didn't hear that...
"Maybe he can tear into that bedding some, or mark up the floor!"
Ellie sat cross legged next to the bars closest to her neighbors, hoping they may take her up on her offer for help; not that she'd given them much choice. She smiled politely and scratched lightly at her nose as she watched, wondering what may come next.
This is kind of exciting! Never expected I might make friends down here...
