I honestly think this is the saddest I've been about a famous person dying since Steve Irwin. Iwata was the absolute embodiment of everything Nintendo stood for. He wasn't just a CEO, he was so much more than that. He genuinely cared about the fans, he cared about the games they released, and he cared about video games in general. It wasn't about the money to him, it was about the games and about us.
