Considering I can't Feto at my job, I can only get online between 7PM and 11PM this makes it 20h straight I can't get on Feto at all....... So unless every opponents I face are nice persons, I'll autoforfeit all my matchs, so much for joining tournaments =_= I'll kindly ask you to reconsider please. I'm clearly not the only one in this situation, and someone with a lot more free time can make sure to stall his turns if I try to make battle quick ones during weekends. I have no problems with the 2 missed turns, but time limit kills me, I'm not a 15 year old student anymore.. RE: FETO Tournament Guidelines Discussion - Falaflame - 02-23-2015 I concur with the time limit being higher. 24 hours sounds like a reasonable time, as it caters to all time zones (especially those in Europe and Asia), and there's no possible way for missed turns to happen unless unusual circumstances. It is unfair to not allow everyone to play fair games, because they can't be online 24/7. I don't really see a reason for the time limit being 15 hours instead of 24 either, it's not going to make the battles finish much faster except for the missed turns that will be a result of the shorter time limit, but those could also increase the length of a battle if someone misses a turn early on and we don't want tournaments to be decided by missed turns anyway. Fear has single-handedly won the past 2 promoted tournaments. Most of the players that have gotten into at least the semi-finals has used a Fear staff at some point. It has come to my attention that Fear has become over-centralizing and a discussion has to commence about it. IMO, it's not as deadly as knocking a unit completely out of commission (sleep), crippling them into being a sitting duck (seal), or rendering certain units useless entirely (silence), but a 5-stat drop in every stat is still lethal in every way. This means this unit can be absolutely certain one-rounded in any possible way (which will hit thanks to lowered avoid from said status) as well as further crippling an entire class (flyers) even further as they can be killed in one shot no matter what. Sure, they lose out on S-Rank weaponry, but it's certainly more than worth sacrificing an S-Rank weapon for, especially if said unit is a 52 hp/26 def/26 res tank with nothing to lose, and they're most likely going to use E/D ranks anyway. You lower : Def, Res, Avoid, CritAvoid, CritRates, HitRates, You make sure any skill activates against the feared unit and think about it, a feared unit gets it's own skill activated against him. A pursuit unit often doesn't have much def, how great it is that it's now getting pursuited (remember my sniper in tourny?) Any Peg is getting OHKOed with something like 90%, and they can't have high Res to even be able to dodge a fear staff, any dodgy unit is now pursuit KOable with 80%s. (Didn't answer to Dobby's post cause my english lvl isn't high enough to understand what it meant.) And is easily balanced by how expensive it is, I locked myself to crap weapons in the entirety of tourney thats why battle with speedy was hard untill greene slipped in his positioning. Usually the price is the determining factor why no one used the f34r staff becuase the price and available gold is limited making it a lot less atractive purchase. Then you got careless on your dancing and allowed a first strike. And even if it costs a dickload of gold to buy, under normal tourney circumstances, you should have enough money to afford other weapons the more you win (which, you will). How "expensive" the staff is shouldn't be a valuable argument. What we should be arguing about is the fact it lowers all stats, including your most valuable stat (Pow), making it ORKOable in every way. It might as well be a sleep staff. RE: FETO Tournament Guidelines Discussion - Fredmir - 05-13-2015 Considering we'd have got 2000 golds per wins there wasn't a problem, anyone could've bought fear for final, and all my units had S-ranks, so it's not expensive enough, to be fair, it should be 3 or 4 times that price, so it REALLY makes you only use E-D ranks to buy fear. and that's for team 3 battle max tourny, in a tourny with 5-6 battles, you'd still have your S-ranks usable (at like 8-10 uses left) and have enough to buy 3 fears... And like Fala said, you can't dance out of fear, cause even if the staffer is 3 tiles behind your other unit, it's still in range to fear ALL my units, and that makes you able to 2kfs without any counter damage.
