Yep. This spoiler tag is literally only for actual spoilers.

expand covers what the old spoiler tag did, act as an expandable section. When it's set up, you should be able to do:
[expand=Spoiler: SMTxFE ending synopsis!]
Everybody dies THE END

to spoiler in an expand section.

And yes, you can nest an [expand] freely.
