As Paige finished gathering her things, she heard the mournful howling that echoed like an alarm. She hadn't heard anything like it, so the librarian instinctively looked to Eli. Wyverns weren't common in Lycia, so she had never heard one. Still, given the impending battle, Paige could only assume said battle had already started.
"Eli, there are a lot of innocent people in here," Paige said to her friend. "We have to help keep this place secure."
Paige left her room and went downstairs to inform the patrons of what was occurring.
"Everyone, we need to stay inside," she began. "There's a battle going on. It's best to just stay out of their way."
The librarian looked through the window, hoping she didn't see the war outside. At the same time, Paige wondered what happened to the others.
