This happened to me before and it's due to the stat changes. Whenever certain classes are rebuilt their stats are calculated again and if the units are in a level 20 mode battle without being level 20, their current HP is set to what they'd have at their current actual level. This will probably occur a few more times with the classes we plan on stat changing soon, but it won't happen for a while after we have taken care of all of them.
