Roland, appeased, sheathed his sword. There seemed to be a small misunderstanding, as the Lady was going peacefully. He wasn't sure what the altercation was about, but he was somewhat pleased that he wouldn't have to lay down his life in order to protect the lady of a noble house that he knew near nothing about and had possibly only seen once or twice in his life. However, that wasn't to say he wouldn't do it, he reassured himself. Should the opportunity have called for it. Thankfully, it was not the proper time.

Walking alongside the perimeter of guards protecting the lady, Roland swore to keep his sword in its scabbard for the time being. There was no use riling up the crowd, who seemed fit to charge or attack at the drop of a hat. Or the opening of a parasol? He noticed the Lady Cecily shading herself from the sun, shortly before the group was entirely engulfed in smoke.

Promises to himself were of no use at all! Coughing, his hand shot to the sword's pommel. Eyes watering, Roland stood ready to strike, backing himself against some sort of stone wall, as soon as the damn smoke cleared up.
