You can only make a new lord when you get 17500 gold (takes around 10-15 battles on maps with no treasure under the condition that you buy literally nothing else). Post again if you are certain you wish to reset.

Also (sorry to bother and sorry if this is wrong place to ask this) how does the Master Crown work? Is it like how seals worked in the main games or if you create a new character while having a Master Crown is it automatically a Lord with lord boosts?

You have to use Master Crowns on existing characters to lord them.
