Name: Paige Pierpont
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Nation/Allegiance: Lycia- Pherae

Appearance/Description: Paige is a young woman standing at 5’7” (170 cm) and 129 lbs. (59 kg). She has shoulder-length hair of a dark reddish hue. Her family loves to comment on her vibrant green eyes. Skin is somewhat pale due to spending much of her time indoors.

Paige does her best to keep a clean professional appearance. She wears a long-sleeved white blouse, which is covered by a green vest embroidered with gold-colored thread and a purple collar. The vest contains pockets on the inside, allowing for her to store various items. This is paired with a white skirt of similar length and style to those of the young peg knights of Ilia. Finally, her brown leather boots reach halfway up her calves and are perfect for indoor and outdoor activities.

Paige also possesses a dull brown hooded cloak in case of bad weather or keeping a low profile in public.

Bio/Backstory:
Paige was born and raised in the Pherae region of Lycia. Her parents operated a merchant route between Pherae and Bern, allowing the family to live a comfortable life. Like many kids of the merchant class, Paige received a good education at an early age. Her favorite subject was history. The stories of how the country of Elibe came to be fascinated her. As a teen, she would attend the lectures of the scholar Relius whenever he came into town. Paige would often see him after lectures to inquire further about various subjects (her favorite being the reign of Lord Eliwood). Her conversations with the scholar over the years eventually led to his recommendation for her to take a position in Castle Pherae’s royal library.

Paige served that position as a librarian to the royal library. Her tasks included directing scholars to subject sections, corresponding with monks to create copies of important works, and obtaining rare books for the marquess’s collection. She was once praised by the marquess himself for obtaining a copy of a cookbook by the famed knight Sir Lowen. Breakfast had not been the same since.

Paige corresponded with Relius through letters, though their conversations often turn to recent history and the disturbing turn their country has taken. Those letters have since ceased once Paige began traveling outside of Pherae.

Other: Working in Castle Pherae, Paige spent some time learning to fence with knights. Though she is more familiar with her rapier, she is currently learning to use her Light Brand. The librarian never goes far without at least one roll of parchment and her Pegasus feather pen.
UPDATE:

What started as a search for a book burner led Paige on a quest to unravel the empire's secrets. Paige's adventures had revealed two secrets of the Lycian Empire: The name of the mysterious ruler:
Emperor Coran of the Lycian Empire
and
that the emperor may have a living relative, one that could challenge him for the throne.

Her adventures took on a new goal: find this heir and save Lycia's legacy with a new ruler. That was not to be however.

During the events of "Bernese Ball", Paige was separated from her friends. Instead of joining them in fleeing Bern and recapturing Laus, the young librarian was pulled aside during the ball by an enigmatic group. They represented an international society of rogue scholars known as the Divine Generals' Council. Their warning to Paige: for the sake of Elibe's future, do not pursue Lycia's heir.

The DGC believed the world would always be under the threat of a second Scouring. Their goal was to preserve as much knowledge, artifacts, and bloodlines linked to that era as possible. Should the time come when dragons threaten the world, they would be in a position to advise and train the inheritors of the the Eight Generals' destiny. Lycia's brewing civil war threatens to destroy much of that knowledge. The wanton use of the legendary weapon Aureola could cost them in the future if it were destroyed. And if Roland's bloodline was spent over a human civil war, they would forever lose an ally in a future war against dragons. It was best to let the war play out while Lycia's heir remained hidden.

Rather than dismiss Paige, they offered her a position. She would be traveling across Elibe in the pursuit of preserving knowledge of the Scouring. Regardless of the outcome of the Insurrection, Paige also feared that the Lycia of elder days was forever lost. Much as she wanted to help her friends fight for Lycia's future, she agreed with the council that Elibe's long-term survival was at greater risk.

As she continued her travels alone, she truly hoped for the best for the people she met. Perhaps their paths would cross again...
